| KCF in collaboration with Azad Chair organizes One-Day literary symposium on Abdul Ahad Azad | | 
Srinagar, November 27 (Scoop News)- The Kashmir Concern Foundation in collaboration with Azad Chair organised a one-day symposium on the life, works and literary contribution of renowned Kashmiri poet Abdul Ahad Azad at Bemina Degree College, Srinagar, drawing an inspiring gathering of scholars, students, poet writers and various other dignitaries.
The event was graced by Prof. Bashar Bashir as the Chief Guest, while Prof. Rayees Ahmad, Vice Principal of Abdul Azad Memorial Degree College Bemina, attended as the Guest of Honour and remained present throughout the proceedings.
Prominent figures attended the function included Kashmir Concern Foundation Patron Adv. Abdul Rashid Hanjura, College Coordinator Abdul Ahad, Chair Dr. Rouf Aadil, Prof. Nelofar Naaz Nehvi, Dr. Tanveer Habeeb Jury Member Dr. Riyaz Ather, Poet Abdul Rehman Bhat, Dr. Marouf Shah, along with other dignitaries, faculty members and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Prof. Bashar Bashir reflected on the depth of Azad’s literary legacy. “Abdul Ahad Azad was not just a poet he was a visionary who used literature to awaken society,”.
Prof. Bashir said. “His writings carry a timeless message of reform, dignity and hope. It is important for the young generation to revisit his work and understand the power of socially conscious poetry.”
Kashmir Concern Foundation Patron Adv. Abdul Rashid Hanjura applauded the students and guests for keeping Kashmir’s literary torch alive.“Our icons like Abdul Ahad Azad sahib are our collective pride,”.
Hanjura said, “By revisiting their thoughts, we reconnect with our roots. Kashmir Concern Foundation is committed to promoting literary awareness among the youth so that the richness of our heritage continues to flourish.”
Coordinator Abdul Ahad Azad Chair Dr. Rouf Aadil appreciated the participation of students who presented insightful speeches during the symposium “What truly inspires us is the passion of these young speakers,”.
Dr. Aadil said “Their understanding and interpretation of Azad’s philosophy reflects how relevant his teachings remain today. Such platforms help students express themselves and grow intellectually.”
A number of students delivered speeches on Abdul Ahad Azad’s contributions to Kashmiri literature and social reform. Their perspectives, reflections and articulation were widely appreciated by the audience as well as the jury members.
At the end of the programme, the jury members selected the best speakers and awards along with participation certificates were given to students to appreciate their talent and hard work.
The symposium also highlighted how important Abdul Ahad Azad’s work is even today, helping students understand Kashmiri literature and its strong influence. The event ended with a vote of thanks to all dignitaries, guests, teachers and students for making the programme successful.
