Police arrests drug peddler in Pulwama

Srinagar, November 26 (Scoop News)- In a sustained effort to curb the menace of drug trafficking, Police in Pulwama arrested a drug peddler and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from his possession.

A Police team a checkpoint established at Newa Pulwama, intercepted an individual identified as Rafiq Ahmad Shah son of Bashir Ahmad Shah resident of Newa Pulwama. During search, 16.5 kilograms of Charas powder–like substance was recovered. Subsequently, he has been arrested.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 277/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and investigation is underway.

J&K Police reiterates its unwavering commitment to eliminating drug peddling from the society and urges the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug abuse or trafficking in their areas

Jammu, November 26 (Scoop News)- Trikuta College of Physical Education starts its first batch for Bachelor of Physical Education & Sports (BPES) today, marking a major milestone in its mission to promote quality education in sports and physical fitness.

The newly introduced BPES programme aims to provide students with contemporary knowledge in physical education, sports training, human performance, and fitness sciences, preparing them for diverse professional opportunities in the sports sector, physical education teaching, and higher studies.

The event was inaugurated by Chairperson of the Trust - Mrs Suman Sharma and others who graced the occasion were Managing Directors - Mr Ritesh Sharma , Mr Ravish Sharma and CEO’s - Mrs Japna Sharma , Mrs Jasuda Sharma & Dr Nitin Mahajan.

With advanced sports facilities, an experienced faculty, and a student-centric academic ecosystem, Trikuta College of Physical Education is poised to become a key centre for sports education in the region.
