High Court commemorates Constitution Day; Chief Justice leads proceedings


Jammu, November 26 (Scoop News)-A grand ceremony was organized in the Jammu Wing of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to commemorate the 76th Constitution Day.

Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Arun Palli, led the proceedings, reading out the preamble to the Constitution. He was accompanied by Judges, Judicial Officers and officials from the Registry, who joined in reciting the preamble

The ceremony was graced by Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Mohd. Akram Chowdhary, Justice Rahul Bharti, Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Justice Mohd. Yousuf Wani and Justice Shahzad Azeem.

The event was attended by Mohinder Kumar Sharma, Registrar General, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh; Naseer Ahmed Dar, Director, J&K State Judicial Academy; Rajiv Gupta, Registrar Vigilance; Ajay Kumar Gupta, Registrar Inspection, Srinagar; Amit Sharma, District & Sessions Judge (LRP); Faizan-ul-Haq Iqbal, Registrar Rules; Swati Gupta, Registrar Judicial; Umesh Sharma, Registrar Computer (IT); Baldev Raj, Registrar Recruitment; Pankaj Kumar Gupta, Registrar Infrastructure/Estates; Meyank Gupta, Joint Registrar (Judicial/Protocol); Sunil Kumar, Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee and Faizan-l- Nazar, Central Project Coordinator e-Courts, besides other officers and officials of the High Court registry. The observance reaffirmed the commitment of the institution to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity and underscored the foundational values embodied in the Constitution of India.

The Constitution Day serves as a reminder of India's identity as a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic and reinforces the collective duty of every citizen and institution to safeguard and uphold constitutional governance and the rule of law.
