| Keshav Chopra Calls on Lt Governor Manoj Sinha | |  Jammu, November 07 (Scoop News)-Social Activist and Chairman of the Samvedna Society Keshav Chopra today called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of JKUT Shri Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan, Jammu. The meeting focused on the Samvedna Society’s extensive efforts in Social Welfare, Health awareness, and cultural preservation across the Union Territory. During the interaction, Keshav Chopra apprised the Lt Governor of the Samvedna Society's unwavering commitment to the community, highlighting key achievements that include the organization of 100 Free Health Check up Camps, the successful facilitation of various Government welfare schemes to the people at doorstep such as Ayushman Bharat, PMEGP, ABHA, Ration Cards, Aadhaar Card Documentation and widespread voter awareness campaigns to enroll maximum first time voters. Furthermore, Keshav Chopra informed Manoj Sinha about hosting the Duggar De Rattan Awards 2025, an initiative promoting the Dogri language and local heritage of the region. The core of the discussion was the upcoming "Anti Drug Cricket Tournament Jammu Veteran League." by Samvedna Club which is scheduled to commence from November 18th, 2025 to November 28th 2025 at M.A. Stadium in Jammu. Chopra emphasized that the league is strategically designed to engage the local youth through sports, promoting a drug-free, active, and healthy lifestyle in the Union Territory. Keshav Chopra also expressed appreciation for the concerted efforts of the Jammu & Kashmir Police and Civil Administration in curbing the drug menace across J&K, reiterating the Samvedna Society's readiness to lend its full support to the Government’s mission to make Jammu and Kashmir drug-free.
