BJP ignored Nagrota in development, NC Will Deliver: Arjun Singh

Jammu,November 02 (Scoop News)-The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) leaders continued their election campaign in Nagrota today, urging voters to support the party to ensure all-round growth and development in the region.



Addressing a series of public gatherings in the Bhalwal block, MLA Arjun Singh and the party’s candidate Shamim Begum called upon the people to vote for change in Nagrota Constituency, asserting that the BJP had failed on every front—particularly in delivering progress, employment, and basic amenities across Jammu, especially in Nagrota during their regime.



In his address, Arjun Singh said that the BJP’s tenure had been marked by “hollow promises” and neglect of people’s basic needs. “Our youth need jobs, our mothers and sisters need healthcare, and our elders deserve dignity and support which BJP failed to devlier durint their tenure. Homes don’t run on emotive issues—people need a government that delivers electricity, roads, and essential services,” Singh said. “When Jammu faced floods and landslides, Omar Abdullah and his cabinet stood with the people, ensuring timely help and relief. In contrast, the BJP leadership chose to remain indoors. This time, the people of Jammu and Nagrota will give them a fitting reply by electing Shamim ji and strengthening Omar Abdullah’s government.”



Reinforcing the party’s commitment to inclusive development, Shamim Begum assured the people that she would prioritize progress, employment, and youth empowerment if elected. “Nagrota deserves better—better roads, better opportunities, and a better future,” Shamim said. “My foremost goal is to ensure that every young person in Nagrota finds a path to employment and that every family benefits from development and government services. With the support of the people, I will be a voice of honesty, hard work, and accountability.”



The NC leaders their campaign in Bhalwal amid enthusiastic public response, expressing confidence that the people of Nagrota would vote for genuine development and a government that stands with them in times of need. The leaders demanded restoration of Statehood immediately so that the aspirations of the people would be fulfilled.



Among those who were present in the meeting included: Satwant Kour Dogra Provincial President Women Wing Jammu, Rajni Devi Working President Women Wing Jammu, Kuldeep Sharma, Mehmood Rizvi Advocate, Pinky Khalsa Vice President Jammu Province Women Wing, Asha Mehra, Balwant Singh Block President and others.
