| Hakeem Yaseen condoles demise of former Minister Gulchain Singh Charak | |
Srinagar, October 18 (Scoop News)-People’s Democratic Front (PDF) President and former Minister, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, on Saturday expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of *Gulchain Singh Charak*, a senior political leader and former minister from Jammu.
Charak passed away on Friday at the age of 83 after a prolonged illness. He was widely respected for his long-standing association with the Congress and his significant contributions to Jammu’s political landscape.
Charak served as a cabinet minister in the PDP–Congress government under Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad from 2005 to 2008, playing a key role in several development initiatives during his tenure.
Paying tribute, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen said, "Gulchain Singh Charak’s contributions to public service and his dedication to the welfare of the people of Jammu will always be remembered. His vision and commitment to the region will continue to inspire future generations of leaders,” he said.
Yaseen also extended his sympathies to Charak’s family, friends, and supporters, praying for peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
