ESIC Interacts with PHDCCI & HRAK
Briefs on Amnesty and Other Schemes

Katra,October 18 (Scoop News)-The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) organized an interactive session with the Hotel & Restaurant Association, Katra (HRAK),& PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu Region, wherein Mr. Vikas Kundal, Regional Director, ESIC J&K and Ladakh, was the Chief Guest.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Rakesh Wazir, President HRAK & Chairman PHDCCI Jammu Region; Mr. Shyam Lal Kesar, Chairman HRAK; Mr. Virender Kesar, Senior Vice President HRAK; Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Former President HRAK; Mr. Parambeant Singh, ESIC Branch Head Katra; Mr. Mangal Singh, and several other members of the business community.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Vikas Kundal elaborated on the numerous benefits available under the ESI Corporation, and spoke in detail about its recent initiatives including the Scheme to Promote Registration of Employers and Employees (SPREE 2025). He also highlighted the ESIC Amnesty Scheme 2025, launched with the objective of reducing litigation between employers and employees. He urged all concerned to approach the Regional Office, Jammu, for withdrawal or settlement of pending cases under this scheme.

Mr. Rakesh Wazir, in his address, encouraged the business community to fully avail themselves of the unique benefits offered under ESIC — including comprehensive medical facilities and treatment in reputed hospitals across India, pension benefits to dependents of employees in case of casualty or permanent disability, financial relief during temporary job loss, maternity benefits, and more.

Mr. Shyam Lal Kesar requested the department to renew the empanelment of SMVD Narayana Hospital with ESIC, which has expired, thereby affecting employees’ access to treatment at the facility.

Mr. Virender Kesar emphasized the importance of greater awareness and publicity regarding ESIC’s welfare schemes, so that maximum employees can benefit from them.

Before concluding, Mr. Kundal assured the gathering of the department’s full cooperation and stated that sympathetic consideration would be given to all the points and suggestions raised during the meeting.
