| BGSBU observes Engineers’ Day | | University Registrar delivers Lecture on Advancements in Foundation Engineering | Rajouri, September 15 (Scoop News)- Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) today celebrated Engineers’ Day with great fervor and enthusiasm to pay tribute to the legendary engineer and Bharat Ratna awardee, Sir M. Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary.
On the occasion, a series of events were organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, including interactive sessions, lectures and discussions highlighting the contribution of engineers in nation-building and technological advancement.
Registrar BGSBU Abhishek Sharma also joined the celebrations and delivered a special lecture to the 7th semester Civil Engineering students, wherein he shared insights on professional ethics, innovation in engineering, and the importance of adopting modern practices to address contemporary challenges.
The Registrar encouraged the students to imbibe the spirit of dedication, creativity and problem-solving, which define the engineering profession. He stressed upon the role of young engineers in contributing to sustainable development and transforming society through innovation.
The faculty members appreciated the Registrar’s interaction with students, noting that such initiatives serve as a motivation for budding engineers to excel academically and professionally.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Er. Vaseem Ahmed, HOD, Civil Engineering. He expressed gratitude to all participants and reiterated the university’s commitment to nurturing competent and socially responsible engineers.
