| BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and Late G.L Dogra Trust distributes relief materials to flood affected families | |
Jammu, September 14 (Scoop News)-The Department of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Jammu & Kashmir UT, led by its UT Convenor Er. Dil Bahadur Singh and UT Co-Convenor Er. T. K. Sharma, in collaboration with Late Sh. Girdhari Lal Dogra Trust represented by Mrs. Nidhi Sharma and Mr. Munish Dogra, in the presence of Er. S. K. Zailpuri (Convenor, Jammu District SBAM), Er. Rajinder Bali, Er. Rajiv Padha and Mr. Raj Kumar (BJP Shakti Kendra Pramukh), today distributed blankets, clothing, food grains, sugar, tea packets, and cooking oil to the flood-affected people of Lower Harijan Mohallah, Ward No. 68, Ratnu Chack.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Dil Bahadur Singh said that the recent rains and floods have caused great loss of property in Jammu. He informed that volunteers of BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, along with Late Sh. Girdhari Lal Dogra Trust, distributed relief material to the affected people of Lower Harijan Mohallah, Ratnu Chack. He added that the volunteers of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan have been selflessly distributing relief materials to the flood-affected people in different parts of the city for the past many days. He further assured that they are committed to serving the people of flood-affected areas in the coming days as well.
Addressing the media, Er. T. K. Sharma said that the distribution drive aimed not only to provide essential items but also to reassure the affected families that they are not alone in this hour of crisis. He mentioned that the Department of Swachh Bharat Mission of BJP J&K UT, with the support of Late Sh. Girdhari Lal Dogra Trust, distributed food grains, clothing, blankets, and other essential items in the affected localities of Ratnu Chack under R. S. Pura Constituency. He also appealed to civil society and NGOs to come forward in greater numbers to help the flood-affected people. He expressed gratitude to Nidhi Dogra, Munish Dogra, and all the volunteers of Swachh Bharat Mission who contributed to this noble cause.
Nidhi Dogra Sharma, Trustee of Late Sh. Girdhari Lal Dogra Trust, while briefing the media, said that the Trust is working closely with BJP Swachh Bharat Mission leaders and other organizations to help flood victims in various areas of Jammu. She further said that they always stand with the suffering public in times of crisis. She reiterated that the Trust is always ready to help those in need and stands in solidarity with the affected families by providing every possible assistance. She appreciated the BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan leaders for their selfless service in this hour of crisis.
