JK Police solves 02 theft cases in Ganderbal; 03 accused arrested | |
Srinagar, September 13 (Scoop News)- J&K Police in Ganderbal have solved 02 theft cases by apprehending 03 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
On 08-Sept-2025 and 11-Sept-2025, Police Station Kheerbawani and Police Station Kangan received separate written complaints from Jalal-ud-din son of Abdul Salam resident of Kokagund Sehpora and Wahid Ahmad son of Haji Noorani resident of Chadrakote A/P Hayan Kangan stating that during the intervening night of 03/04 Sept and 05/06 Sept of 2025, some unknown thieves trespassed into their cowsheds at Kokagund Sehpora and Hayan Palpora and stole 37 Sheep. Accordingly, cases vide FIR No’s: 31 and 63 of 2025, under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Kheerbawani and Police Station Kangan and investigation was taken up.
Under the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, special police teams were constituted under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal and SDPO Kangan led by SHO PS Kheerbawani and SHO PS Kangan. Through strenuous efforts and with the assistance of technical inputs, the Police team led by SHO PS Kheerbawani apprehended one suspect person, namely Shabir Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat resident of Arigoripora Kangan.
On sustained questioning, the accused disclosed that he had purchased 06 stolen sheep from Momin Bashir Ganie @ Sahil son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Gundi Mohalla Sehpora, along with Basit Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad and Hilal @ Huzaib resident of Pehlipora Safapora near Dumping Park, Kangan. On his disclosure, 06 sheep were successfully recovered and subsequently Shabir Ahmad Bhat was arrested. Moreover, accused Momin Bashir was also apprehended and based upon discloser of accused person, one vehicle bearing registration No. JK04D-0256 was also recovered.
Moreover, a police party led by SHO Police Station Kangan apprehended one accused in Pulwama. He has been identified as Gh Nabi Dar son of Mohd Akbar Dar resident of Ruhama Pulwama and 15 stolen Sheep were recovered on his disclosure. More arrests and recoveries are expected
