SSP Kulgam flags off 83 students for Bharat Darshan Tour

Srinagar, September 12 (Scoop News)-As part of its continued efforts to strengthen police-public relations and provide youth with opportunities for growth and exposure, Police in Kulgam, under the Civic Action Programme, flagged off a group of 83 students from District Kulgam for a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour. The group is being accompanied by five caretakers to ensure the smooth conduct of the trip.

The tour was formally flagged off by SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS at District Police Lines Kulgam along with DySP DAR Kulgam, other senior officers and officials of the district.

While addressing and interacting with the students, SSP Kulgam highlighted the significance of the Bharat Darshan initiative. He urged the participants to use this rare opportunity to broaden their horizons, witness the cultural and geographical diversity of the country, and imbibe values of unity, peace, discipline, and national integration. He further emphasized that the tour is designed to expose young minds to India’s glorious history, rich heritage, modern institutions, and developmental milestones. Such initiatives, he added, play a vital role in instilling confidence, enhancing personality, and channelizing the energy of youth in a positive and constructive direction.

The week-long tour, fully sponsored by J&K Police, covers all aspects of logistics including air travel, comfortable boarding and lodging facilities, guided tours, and AC transport. The itinerary includes visits to New Delhi and Chennai where the students will explore iconic historical monuments, prominent educational institutions, reputed industrial units, and popular tourist destinations. This exposure aims to give students first-hand experience of India’s cultural vibrancy and modern-day progress.

To ensure convenience and comfort, each student has been provided with a complete travel kit comprising a tracksuit, sports shoes, cap, and carry bag. The arrangements have been meticulously planned to create a safe, enriching, and memorable experience for the participants.

Parents and students expressed heartfelt gratitude to J&K Police for organizing such an initiative. They appreciated the force’s continuous efforts to inspire and empower the younger generation by offering them opportunities for education, cultural understanding, and career awareness, thereby contributing to their overall development and nation-building.
