| Congress leader expresses shock over mother,daughter death in house collapse in Sunderbani | |
Sunderbani,September 03 (Scoop News)-Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Mr Ravinder Sharma has expressed deep shock & grief over the death of mother & daughter in a house collapse in Village Kangri in Sunderbani today early morning and demanded immediate identification & shifting of families from vulnerable houses.
Expressing grief over casuality of Sita Devi & her daughter Sonia, in Kangri house collapse of Beripattan area in Sunderbani,he demanded immediateexgratiareliefandfree ration,shelter andothernecessarymaterial to the poor survivors of thefamily.
Mr Sharma demanded that all such families residing in vulnerable houses should be shifted to safer places in nearby government buildings tempprarily ,till weather situation improves. Government should also provide water proofs tents etc to such families immediately to ensure safety of people.
Mr Sharma also visited several rain/ flood affected areas of Sunderbani and met the affected people including the migrant families from Mohra Changrote who have taken shelter in Middle School Gandeh, as the only path to their houses got washed away from rest of the village.
Mr Sharma urged the government to provide alternate residential site and agriculture land to these six families in the village out of available state/ custodian land for rehabilitation.
Senior Congress leader urged the administration to restore the vital road links on war footing besides protection work& retaining walls ^ urgent repairs of roads to different villages to restore connectivity to the people.
