Satish Sharma expresses grief over Kathua Tragedy, assures support to affected families

Srinagar, August 17 (Scoop News)- Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology and Transport, Satish Sharma has expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of four lives and injuries to several others caused by landslides and cloudburst incidents in Kathua district.

Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Minister prayed for peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery of the injured. He assured that every possible assistance would be extended to the affected families during this difficult time.

Sharma emphasized that the government stands firmly with the people of Kathua in this hour of grief. He said that the administration has been directed to carry out immediate rescue, relief, and evacuation measures to ensure the safety and rehabilitation of all affected families.

“The loss of precious lives in Jodh Khad, Juthana and adjoining areas is an irreparable tragedy. The government is committed to providing all necessary help and ensuring that the victims and their families do not face hardships,” the Minister said.

The Minister also appealed to the people of the region to remain cautious and cooperate with the administration in ongoing rescue and relief efforts.
