Market Checking Squad Imposes Rs 22,300 Fine on Defaulters in Khaltse.


Khaltse, July 31 (Scoop News)-On the directions of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse, Mohd Sharif, a market checking squad carried out a two-day surprise inspection of general stores, restaurants/hotels, vegetable vendors, and poultry sellers in the Khaltse market on July 30 and 31, 2025.

The inspection team was led by Naib Tehsildar Khaltse, Asgar Ali, and comprised Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS&CA Department Khaltse, Afzal Khan; SHO Khaltse, Jamyang Namgail; Assistant Sub Inspectors Mohd Hussain and Phuntsog Rigzin; BHW, Tsewang Namgial; GQ, Gourmet Stanzin; Storekeepers Tsering Dorjay and Kifayat Hussain and official from the FCS&CA department Khaltse.

Additionally, SHO Khaltse deployed Head Constables Mohd Abdullah and Tahir Ali to support the inspection.

During the inspection, several violations were identified, including the sale of expired products and the use of domestic (non-commercial) LPG cylinders in hotels and restaurants. The team also checked rate lists, food quality standards, hygiene conditions, and mandatory documentation. The team seized expired items, which were destroyed on the spot.
A total fine of Rs 22,300 was imposed on the defaulters.
