GGF J&K visits shelling victims at GMC Jammu | | Jammu, May 12 (Scoop News)- A delegation from the Gandhi Global Family (GGF) Jammu & Kashmir, led by its President Dr. S. P. Varma, visited the civilians injured in recent cross-border shelling who are currently under treatment at Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, Jammu. During the visit, the GGF J&K team interacted with the victims in the presence of Dr. Varinder Trisal, Medical Superintendent and Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Deputy Medical Superintendent of GMC Jammu. Dr. Varma expressed grave concern over the repeated incidents of cross-border firing and the tragic toll it takes on innocent civilians. He appreciated the role of doctors and para medical staff in this difficult time and also urged the administration to remain vigilant and fully prepared if any emergency erupts again. He also emphasized the importance of extending moral support to the affected families and highlighted the urgent need for a humanitarian approach in conflict-affected areas along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border. He also called for community solidarity and unity during these difficult times. Dr. Alka Sharma, President of the GGF Women Wing Jammu, echoed these sentiments, affirming the organization’s unwavering support for the victims and their families. She ensured that blood donation camps and other relief measures have already been launched by GGF J&K to aid those affected. The delegation also included Dr. Robert Robin Gill, Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Mr. Denial Nair, Dr. Nitan Sharma, Mrs. Renu Anthony, Mr. Manish Joshi, Mr Avinash Chaudhary and Er. Ankush Varma.
