Pakistan carried out large-scale violations of Indian airspace on 8-9 May

New Delhi/Jammu, May 09 (Scoop News)- MEA in a Press Brief said that on the night of 8–9 May 2025, Pakistan carried out large-scale violations of Indian airspace, attempting to target military infrastructure with 300–400 drones across 36 locations from Leh to Sir Creek.
Officials said that Indian forces neutralized many using kinetic and non-kinetic means. An armed UAV strike on Bhatinda was also thwarted. India responded by launching drone strikes on four Pakistani air defence sites, destroying a radar.
Pakistan escalated with artillery and drone attacks across the LoC, causing casualties. Alarmingly, Pakistan kept its civil #airspace open during the assault, endangering civilian flights.

Meanwhile Colonel Sofiya Qureshi says, "In response to Pakistan's attack, drones were launched against four Pakistani military installations.

One of these drones was able to destroy an AD (air defence) radar. Pakistan, however, used heavy artillery and drones to conduct attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri, Poonch, Rajouri, Akhnoor, etc., injuring some of the Indian soldiers."
