Ladakh’s Budding Cricketers Set to Represent Region at Under-19 JKCA Trials

Leh, May 06 (Scoop News)- Four young cricketers from Leh Stanzin Namras (Mahabodhi School), Stanzin Khenrab (Lamdon Higher Secondary School), Mudasir Ahmed (EJM College), and Gurmet Namgyal (Mahabodhi School) have been selected to participate in the Under-19 talent hunt selection trials of the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), scheduled to be held on May 7 at the Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar. The players, who train at the Leh Cricket Academy located at Solar Colony, the only cricket academy in Ladakh will represent the region for the first time at this level. They will be accompanied by their coach, Skalzang Dorjey Kalyan. Ahead of their departure, the players and their coach called on the Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, to express their gratitude for his continued support in facilitating their participation. The Chairman extended his best wishes to the team and assured full support for their journey and future endeavours. This marks a significant milestone for cricket in Ladakh, as it is the first time local players will be competing at the Under-19 level in a JKCA national-level tournament.
