Police organises medical camp in Budgam

Srinagar, April 30 (Scoop News)-As part of the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-25, Police in Budgam under the supervision of SSP Budgam, Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS organized a Medical Camp at village Gariend Khurd, Budgam. The camp provided free medical consultations and medicines to around 300 residents.

The primary aim of the medical camp was to extend critical healthcare services to local populace. Dr Ajaz Ahmad Suhaff, Assistant Professor and Dr Sajid M. Wani, Assistant Professor at Government Medical College Srinagar, examined the patients and advised on the basis of diagnosis. In-charge Drug De-Addiction Centre DPL Budgam, alongwith paramedical staff were also present during the event. The team conducted thorough medical assessments and dispensed premium-quality medications at no cost, tailored to the specific diagnoses of the patients.

The event also featured awareness sessions focused on hygiene, preventive healthcare, and the severe consequences of substance abuse. The youth were especially encouraged to lead a drug-free life, promoting a healthier and more productive community.

This initiative exemplifies Budgam Police’s unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and combating substance abuse within the district.
