Police Organizes Awareness programme on New Criminal Laws in Baramulla | Police organizes awareness programme on New Criminal Laws in Shopian | Srinagar, March 22 (Scoop News)-On the directions of SSP Baramulla Shri Gurinderpal Singh-IPS, Police in Baramulla in its continuous efforts to educate the public, organized an awareness programme on New Criminal Laws at Govt Higher Secondary School Kunzer.
The event was chaired by SHO Kunzer and attended by Principal, staff and students of said institute. The program aimed to familiarize attendees with key amendments and their implications in the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act.
The speakers at the event explained key aspects of the new criminal laws with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) respectively. They emphasized that these laws aim to ensure speedy justice for victims and swift punishment for offenders, with specific time frames set for case investigations.
Police remains committed to its mission in spreading awareness about legal changes and urges citizens to stay informed and co-operate in maintaining law and order.

Higher Secondary School Keegam on new criminal laws viz Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
The programme was chaired by IC PP Keegam, attended by teaching staff and students of the school. The initiative amid to educated students and staff on the new laws’ implications, emphasizing legal compliance and societal order. The session included interactive discussions, highlighting justice for victims and the modernization of investigations through technology.
