Rich tributes paid to Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule by Rehan Basera
Jammu, March 10 (Scoop News)-Rich tributes were paid to Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule by management committee of Rehan Basera on her death anniversary. Jenab Sohail Kajmi Sr. Journalist and Editor-in-chief of Daily Taskeen was chief guest on this occasion. While speaking on this occasion Sohail Kajmi ji threw light on the life and mission of Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule. He said that a mother is equal to hundred teachers, Women have unique capability and patience we must respect women for their unique contributions.
While addressing in gathering Shamlal Basson said that women had no right to enter school. It is a universal fact education changes fate line. Education is such a weapon with which you can change the world. Savitri Bai Phule was nine year old at the time of marriage Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule gave education to Savitri Bai Phule at home Phule couple opened girl school on 1st January 1848 at Bidhewada Pune. As per the thinking of orthodox people women cannot enter school . Savitri Bai Phule became 1st lady teacher of country. The people used to throw cowdung, garbage on Savitri Bai while going to school. Phule couple was
expelled from the their house because they were imparting education to girls. Phule couple did not stop their mission rather opened 18 school from 1848 to 1852. Savitri Bai Phule fought for the rights of women and eradications of social evils. The window ladies had no right of remarriage they were shaved by barbers.
She established Bal Hatya Parivandhak greh. She was mother of Indians feminist. She strived to abolish discrimination and unfair treatment of people based on caste and gender.
Sh. Subash Gupta retd Judge expressed views regarding social evils for which Phule couple fought for whole life. He said that education plays important role for overhaul development Savitri Bai Phule got training at an institution run by an American missionary, Cynthia Farror in Ahmednagar and 2nd course was
at a Normal School in Pune.
Madam Sunita Bangotra – Principal Savitri Bai Phule Modern School Bari Brahmana spoke on this occasion.
She said that Savitri Bai Phule was a great poet. She published Kaya Phule in 1954. She established the
Mahila Seva Mandal to raise the awareness for issues concerning women’s right. She was also an anti- infanticide activist.
Dr Yograj Parveen expressed his views and told some unknown facts regarding Savitri Bai Phule. He told that Savitri Bai was born on 3rd Jan 1831 at Naigaon in Satara District and expired on 10th march 1897.
She has fought throughout her life. Dr Yograj Parveen is learned spokes person having good knowledge of great Mahapurush.
Madam veena Bakshi manager Rehan Basera extended vote of thanks. She told about the achievements of Krantijyoti Savitri Bai Phule. She fought for the rights of women throughout her life. We should follow the teaching of Savitri Bai Phule University of Pune has been named after the name of Savitri Bai Phule. Many Colleges, Schools opened on her name.
