‘Cong-NC always suppressed OBC community’

Jammu,September 05 (Scoop News)-The president of the BJP’s OBC Morcha, Sunil Prajapati, on Thursday said that only BJP gave justice to OBCs in J&K and gave 8% reservation to OBCs, which was 2% prior to abrogation of Article 370.

While addressing a press conference here today, said that NC and Congress which ruled in J&K for a long time always suppressed the OBCs and pushed them backwards. BJP’s Media In charge, Dr Pardeep Mahotra and Rajkumar, General Secretary of OBC Morcha and former Corporator, were also present in the press conference.

“The OBCs of both Jammu and Kashmir regions will give a befitting reply to both Congress and NC,” Prajapati said, while adding, “The mindset of the NC and its hate for the OBCs is clearly reflected in the NC’s manifesto which talks about ending reservation of OBCs”.

He said, “The OBCs are highly grateful to the BJP for giving OBC Prime Minister to the country who after assuming charge gave justice to the OBCs”.

only during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure that the long-deprived OBC community finally received their rights.

He urged the OBC community in Jammu and Kashmir to teach a lesson to NC and Congress in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Prajapati said that the OBC community, which had been denied their rights for decades, was granted reservation in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time, and this became possible during Modi Government.

He said that the father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. BR Ambedkar, had included Article 340 in the Constitution allowing states to grant reservations to OBC communities based on their population.

Prajapati said that Congress and NC never gave the OBCs their rightful share. He pointed out that Rajiv Gandhi himself spoke against OBC’s reservation in the Parliament.
