DIPR condoles demise of former Deputy Director G.R Badana
Jt. Directorate of Information Kashmir condoles demise of Ex. Deputy Director, Gh. Rasool Badana


Srinagar, March 01 (Scoop News)-The employees of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) have condoled the demise of former Deputy Director, Information, Ghulam Rasool Badana (Azad), who passed away after brief illness.

In a condolence meeting held in this regard, the employees remembered the outstanding services of the officer to this department and the literary landscape and who actively made an impact for the growth of department.

The officials of the DIPR paid their rich tributes to the officer, prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for bereaved family members to bear this loss.

Notably, late G.R Badana was a noted Urdu and Gojri scholar and writer. He was also the member of Jammu and Kashmir Information Gazetted service and served the department in various capacities from Information Officer, PRO Raj Bhawan, Deputy Director- Publications and other assignments.

The Joint Directorate of Information Kashmir Friday condoled the demise of Ex. Deputy Director Information, Gh. Rasool Badana (Azad) who breathed his last in Srinagar after prolonged illness.

Gh.Rasool Badana hailing from Hachmarg Chowkibal in Kupwara district was also a noted scholar, prominent fiction writer of Urdu and Gojri languages.

In this connection, a condolence meeting was chaired by Jt. Director Information Kashmir, M Aslam wherein he lauded the role of the ex. Officer of the department.

The Joint Director in his address expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise and offered sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Deputy Director Information (PR), Cultural Officer and other officers and officials also participated in the condolence meeting, expressing deep anguish over the demise.

Meanwhile, a similar condolence meet was held at District Information Centre Kupwara, wherein Officers/ officials paid heartfelt tribute to the departed soul and prayed for strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
