| Udhampur Handball Club wins Martyr's Cup Handball tournament | |
Jammu, September 26 (Scoop News)-A two day Martyr Cup Handball tournament was held w.e.f.25-09-2023 to 26-09-2023 at Brahmrishi Bawra Shanti Vidya Peeth Udhampur in the memory of our Martyrs and to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. This event was organised by LAKSHYA “The Aim” NGO with an aim to promote the spirit of sports and physical fitness among the students.
On the second auspicious day, the event started with an inspirational words by SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar who praised Lakshya Efforts and also aware the youth to say no to Drugs.
Raveesh Mengi (President of Lakshya NGO) in his welcome address said that it is the actual time for the youth to form and give shape to their ideas for the economic development of society and contribute towards making Bharat Vishwa Guru.
Guest of Honour Pradyot Gupta Assistant Labour Commissioner also lauds the efforts of Lakshya NGO.
Special Guest of Honour Ashwani Kumar Raina (Executive Member of Handball Association of India) apprised the gathering that the J&K State Team made us proud by winning Medal after 20 years and in near future J&K Team will unturn every stone to bring more laurel to the UT of J&K
Dev Raj Gupta (President of Martyr Tushar Memorial Trust ), District Udhampur Coordinator Vikas Bharat Pachiala, BBSV School President Raj Guru, , Principal BBSM Ashwani Khajuria, Vice - Principal Usha Gupta, Lakshya Members Sanjeev Sharma, Rohit Gupta, Sanjay Bhat, Kuldeep Singh, Arun Gupta, SHO Udhampur Insp. Raghubir Singh, SHO Ramnagar Insp. Sohan Singh also graced the occasion with their presence.
Students participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
The final match was played between Kargil Martyr's Club and Udhampur Handball Club. The Udhampur Handball club was crowned champion of the tournament after it secured a 36 - 34 victory against the Kargil Martyr's Handball club.
