| Govt College for Women Parade Ground Jammu celebrated NSS Day | |  Jammu,September 25 (Scoop News)-NSS units GCW Parade celebrated 55th NSS day with great fervour. The event was formally inaugurated with a traditional lamp lightning ceremony by the Principal of the college Dr S P Sarswat, NSS POs and other faculty members. About 150 NSS volunteers participated in the program. Volunteers presented NSS song before the audience, and a traditional Gojri dance was also presented by them. Principal of the College felicitated outgoing students with mementos, the Volunteers were felicitated for their exceptional contributions towards NSS namely Ms Mavi Sapolia, best NSS Volunteer for 2022, Ms Tarandeep Kaur, best NSS volunteers for the year 2023 who was appreciated for receiving the Vice Chancellor Commendation Certificate for the year 2023. Other outgoing Volunteers who were felicitated include Ms Amulya Singh, Ms Usha Sharma, Ms Mehak Dharma, Ms Fatima Nissa, Ms Muskan Kumari, Ms Mehak Sharma and Ms Shiena Singh who represented NSS at National level. After that Principal of the College released Biannual Newsletter of NSS highlighting important activities of NSS from January to June 2023. The proceedings of the event were carried out by Ms Amisha Rajput, NSS Volunteer and the program ended with a formal Vote of Thanks by NSS Programme Officer Dr Gurpreet Kour. The other present in the function included Dr Mohd. Majeed, Dr Parvaiz Ahmad, NSS Program Officers and Dr Mamta Sharma, HoD Sanskrit.
