| Awareness program on “Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children” held at Bhodkharboo | |
Kargil, November 28 (Scoop News)-Special Cell for Women Police Station Kargil in collaboration with Ladakh Police today organized an awareness-cum-outreach program on “Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children” at Bhodkharboo.
Social Worker from Special Cell for Women and Children Kargil gave awareness to the participants about special cell services available at Police Station Kargil.
The social worker briefed the participants about gender norms which become inequality in society. The speaker informed the participants about different forms of violence.
Besides that, the social worker also shared information about the available services for women and spoke about how to break the silence in case of violence against women and children.
The social worker also shared the flyers of the cell and also shared their official helpline number which is 9541902328.
As part of the program, a rally was also taken out by all participants to spread awareness among the general public about violence against women and children.
