Jammu, November 27 (Scoop News)-J&K Students Association here on today expressed strong resentment over unhygienic Toilets & lack of transport facility in Sheikh ul Alam Boys hostel Zakura. In a Statement Spokesperson of the association Ummar Jamal said that “ The toilets and bathrooms in Sheikh ul Alam Boys hostel Zakura are unhygienic and always stink.
For days together the hostel authorities do not clean toilets, causing vexation to students. We brought this issue before the warden of the hostel numerous times, he gave mere assurance, but the washrooms continue to be unhygienic and dirty till date.” “Students wait for weeks together, to go back to home so that they can take the bath , as the condition of bathrooms is pathetic . The bathrooms of full of algae on the floor “ Jamal said.
Jamal Urged provost Kashmir university to look into matter and ensure the toilets and bathrooms are keep clean and tidy. Another common concern is lack of transportation facility for the students of Zakura hostel. He said students are facing lot of difficulties because of lack of transportation facility, as Zakura hotel is about two KMS away from main campus.
Students have to walk 2 KMS by foot in the chilling cold in morning and have to wall back to hostel by foot after tiring day at University. Jamal requested Vice Chancellor of University Professor Neelofar khan to poste-haste start the bus service for the students of the said hotel exclusively, so that it can save their energy and time.
