‘Hindi Pakhwada’ celebration at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu | | Jammu, October 04 (Scoop News)-With a purpose to promote and encourage the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in central govt. Offices ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ is celebrated in the month of September each year. This year, in CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, ‘Hindi Pakhwara’ was celebrated from 6th to 19th September, 2022. The program was inaugurated by Er. Abdul Rahim, Chief Scientist and Acting Director – CSIR IIIM. Dr. Zabeer Ahmad, Chief Scientist, Dr. Asha Chaubey, Senior. Principal Scientist, Shri I.B. Dixit, Controller of Finance & Accounts, Shri Dilip Gehlot, Stores & Purchase Officer, Shri Ashish Bahuguna & Shri Rajesh Gupta, both Administrative Officers and Shri Sanjay Sharma, officiating Hindi Officer graced the occasion. A number of events were organised, in which a large number of employees, and research scholars participated. Various committees were formed to evaluate the performance and select the winners from each of these categories of events.
In ‘Hindi Essay Writing Competition’ Mr. Bhupesh Kumar Sharma got first prize, Mr. Shiv Kumar Gupta got second, Mr. Sumit Roy got third and Mr. Yogesh Kumar received Consolation prize.
Ms. Manveet Kour got first prize in ‘Slogan Writing Competition’ whereas Mr. Bhupesh Kumar Sharma got second, Mrs. Jyoti Prabha got third and Mr. Vikrant Awasthi received consolation prize. In ‘Debate Competition’ Dr. Varun Pratap Singh got first prize, Mr. Vikrant Awasthi got second, the third prize was shared by Ms. Shifali Bhasin & Mr. Yogesh Kumar, and Ms. Noureen Sikander & Mr. Bhupesh Kumar Sharma got Consolation prizes. A ‘Bhashan Competition’ was organised for school students drawn from UTs of J&K and Ladakh. The competition was for two different categories of students - i) Students studying in 10th Class or above, and ii) Students studying in Classes below 10th Standard. The competition was organised as a part of ‘CSIR Jigyasa’ - a program to promote scientific temper through student-scientist connect and took place in a hybrid mode. The winners in the category of Classes 10th and above were:- Mr. Parth Baru - first, Ms. Ayat Yaseen – second, whereas third prize was shared among Ms. Shriya Sharma and Ms. Irtiza Gulzar. Winners from students below 10th standard were Mr. Saib Ahmad Reshi - first prize, and Ms. Nidhi Devi - second prize. The annual performance of work done in Rajbhasha (Mool Karya) by CSIR-IIIM individual employees, during financial year 2021-22 was also evaluated. The winners in this category were: Mrs. Jyoti Prabha - first prize, Mr. Yogesh Kumar - second, Mr. Abhishek Gupta – third, and Ms. Jyoti Devi, Sh. Bua Ditta & Mr. Rakesh Choudhary received the Consolation prizes. At the end of ‘Hindi Pakhwada’, a Hindi Workshop was organised for the benefit of all the employees, Officers and Research Scholars of the Institute. Dr. Prianjan Sharma, Assistant Director (Rajbhasha), Central University, Samba (Jammu) was invited as Resource Person. Dr. Anindya Goswami - Senior Principal Scientist, graced the occasion. A large number of CSIR-IIIM staff members and students attended this Worksop. Shri Rajesh Gupta, Administrative Officer presented a vote of thanks. On the occasion of 81st CSIR Foundation Day celebration on 3rd October, 2022, Chief Guest Prof Amitabha Chattopadhyay, CSIR Bhatnagar Fellow at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology presented certificates of appreciation to the winners of each category of competition. Dr. Padma Gurmet, Director, National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh, Guest of Honour, Er. Abdul Rahim, Chief Scientist & Acting Director, CSIR-IIIM and Dr. Zabeer Ahmad, Chief Scientist, CSIR-IIIM also graced the occasion and accompanied Chief Guest Prof Amitabha Chattopadhyay to present certificates to the winners.
