| JMC conducts anti-encroachment drive | |
Jammu, January 14 (Scoop News)-On the instructions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Avny Lavasa, the enforcement wing of the Corporation today launched a massive drive to clear the footpaths, pavements and road sides in different parts of Jammu City.
The Enforcement staff led by Assistant Commissioner Revenue conducted anti-encroachment drive at Indira Chowk, Panama Chowk area and seized materials, goods, articles kept by shopkeepers on footpath and pavements and also seized Rehris installed illegally on footpath/ road side.
Jammu Municipal Corporation appealed to the people particularly shopkeepers, vendors not to encroach upon footpaths and pavement as the same cause inconvenience to the pedestrians and also create obstruction in the free movement of vehicular traffic.
