Manjit Singh seeks political reservation for OBC people in J&K
Huge population should not be left unrepresented in LA

Samba, September 26 (Scoop News)-Apni Party, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh seeks political reservation for Other Backward Class people in Jammu and Kashmir.
“All the political parties have discriminated against the OBC people in Jammu and Kashmir while denying them their constitutional right of 27 % which has left these people backward and politically orphaned,” said Former Minister, and Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh.
He was speaking at a programme of Other Backward Class meeting which was organised by OBC State Coordinator, Madan Lal Chalotra in which the district committee of the OBC was also announced.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh said that these people have remained ignored by the previous Govts. “They are treated as Other Social Castes (OSCs) in J&K and at national level, they are OBCs. Hence, they have to make two certificates which is gross discrimination with the poor and neglected class of society,” he said.
He said that the Govt. should give them political reservation so that they can elect their MLAs and raise their voice in the legislative assembly.
Meanwhile, OBC State Coordinator, Madan Lal Chalotra said that they will continue their struggle for the rights of OBCs.
“We are committed that the Apni Party will give OBC people their rights if they come to power.”
“All the people should strengthen the Apni Party,” he appealed and criticized the political parties who ruled J&K turn by turn but forgot the OBC people who had voted them to power.
