| Participation in international events boost sportsmen:Gul | |
Jammu, December 16 (Scoop News) – Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul returned from Istanbul, Turkey, along with Indian Football Tennis team after participation in the world Football Tennis Championship at Istanbul.
The championship was held from 9th to 12th December,2010 and Mubarak Gul was head of the mission.
Two players from the state namely Syed Subhan Naqvi and Arun Raina represented the Indian team.
Briefing the media persons after arrival at New Delhi Airport Mubarak Gul appreciated the support and facilities provided by the Turkish Government and the international federation as well during the championship.
Gul hoped that the youth of the State will play in the similar spirit at the State , national and international level. He said that with the participation of two players of the State in the said championship, other enthusiastic sports lovers would be encouraged. He further said that State Government has already initiated several steps to boost the morale of youth in sports as well as other extra curricular activities.
He said under he dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the state is heading towards progress and prosperity, however, peoples cooperation in successful implementation of developmental and welfare schemes is necessary and will prove significant for the State.
