Jammu, December 31 (Scoop News)-The year 2025 marked a decisive shift in Jammu & Kashmir’s journey towards stability, development, and national integration, said BJP Spokesperson and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan, asserting that the changes were visible on the ground and felt by the people.
He said that record-breaking infrastructure projects reflected the Centre’s firm commitment to J&K’s progress. The inauguration of the Chenab Rail Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge, became a global symbol of India’s engineering strength and unbreakable resolve to connect Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of the nation. The inauguration of Sonmarg Tunnel, providing all-weather access to the Valley, ended decades of seasonal isolation and gave a major boost to tourism, trade, and mobility.
Balbir Ram Rattan said the completion of the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla rail link and the launch of the Vande Bharat Express to Kashmir were historic milestones that finally fulfilled the long-pending dream of full rail integration, cutting travel time and accelerating economic activity.
Highlighting improved security and governance, he said the incident-free Assembly by-elections in 2025 clearly demonstrated restored law and order, public confidence, and the success of firm administrative measures.
He added that Jammu & Kashmir also witnessed a strong cultural and spiritual resurgence. The Ram Navami celebrations at Uma Bhagwati Temple in Anantnag after 30 years sent a powerful message that fear had been replaced by faith and normalcy. The Tawi Arti lighting at the riverfront emerged as a new symbol of spiritual revival and public participation.
Tourism and youth engagement reached new heights with the Khelo India Water Sports Games on Dal Lake, positioning Jammu & Kashmir as a hub for adventure sports and employment generation.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that moments such as the grand Tiranga rally at Lal Chowk, the celebration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji’s birth anniversary at the same historic site, and the unfurling of the Tricolour at Tral after 35 years sent an unambiguous message that peace has returned, separatism has failed, and national pride stands restored.
“2025 will be remembered as the year Jammu & Kashmir decisively moved forward, with stronger connectivity, fearless celebrations, democratic participation, and deeper national integration,” Balbir Ram Rattan said, adding that the foundations for lasting peace and prosperity have now been firmly laid.
