Srinagar, December 08 (Scoop News)- As part of its Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26, Police in Pulwama organised a welfare-cum-distribution event at Police Station Rajpora to improve access to safe drinking water for underprivileged sections of the community.
Under this initiative, water purifiers were distributed among deserving families, distressed households, an orphanage, and two educational institutions Abu Baker High School Jagir Parigam and Government Primary School Khalisa Parigam. The event was presided over by SSP Pulwama, Ms. Tanushree-IPS, and attended by other senior officers of Pulwama Police, along with a large number of local residents.
SSP Pulwama highlighted that providing clean drinking water to vulnerable families and school children is vital for public health and community wellbeing. Strong concern was expressed over rising drug abuse, with a warning to individuals involved in peddling or consumption to immediately abandon such activities. Strict action will be taken against promoters of narcotics, and the public is urged to share credible information, with complete confidentiality assured for informers.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment to promoting a safer, healthier and drug-free society through continuous outreach and welfare initiatives under CAP. |
