Ramban, August 13 (Scoop News)- The Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) District Unit Ramban, led by District President Dr. Ramparshad Singh Manhas, on Tuesday met the newly posted Chief Education Officer (CEO) Mohd. Mukhtar Manhas. During the meeting, the delegation appreciated the recent transfer drive and the posting of subject-specific teachers to hanging schools in the district, while also highlighting pressing issues concerning the education sector. Welcoming the CEO with a bouquet, organizational calendar, and magazine, Dr. Manhas lauded the recent Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) in which 196 general line teachers were posted to new stations, terming it a positive step towards uplifting education standards in far-flung areas. District General Secretary Pawan Kishore urged that the transfer policy be implemented annually in sync with the academic calendar, while District Media Prabhari Rakesh Kumar emphasized the need for special initiatives in the hilly district to strengthen grassroots education. Dr. Manhas also pointed out certain concerns arising from the recent ATD list, including repeated postings of teachers in hard zones, non-transfer of staff despite long service in the toughest zones, and the creation of vacancies without replacements after transfers. He further raised issues related to BLO transfers and other teacher-specific grievances. The CEO assured the delegation of timely redressal of genuine grievances. The meeting was attended by Rakesh Kumar, Dist. Media Prabhari, Media Vipan Sharma, Jeep Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Gareeb Singh, Sanjay Katoch, and others.
