Khaltse, August 13 (Scoop News)- In a spirited display of enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, the full dress rehearsal for the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebrations was held today at the SDM Stadium, Khaltse.
The event, in line with similar preparations across the nation, commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Naib Tehsildar Khaltse, Asgar Ali, at 11:00 AM, accompanied by the National Anthem. The Ladakh Police, Khaltse, presented a Guard of Honour, which was inspected by the Naib Tehsildar, who also took the salute during the march past.
The parade was commanded by Sub-Inspector (SI) Skarma Angchok, with stirring performances of the National Anthem and band music presented by the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Khaltse.
A total of 11 parade contingents participated, showcasing impeccable discipline and coordination. The contingents included:

Government Hr. Sec. School, Skurbuchan, Government High School, Wanla, Government High School, Lamayuru, Government Middle School, Skurbuchan, Moravian Mission School, Khaltse, Lamdon Jamyang School, Khaltse, Lotsava Landon School, Temisgum and Mahabodhi School, Temisgum.
The event was attended by Station House Officer (SHO) Khaltse, Jamyang Namgail, along with officers and officials from various departments of the Sub-Division, Khaltse.
