Jammu, August 12 (Scoop News)-Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary and MLA from RS Pura–Jammu South Assembly Constituency, along with Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, MLA from Bishnah Assembly Constituency, held a Public Darbar at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The Darbar witnessed an overwhelming response as numerous deputations from different localities presented their pressing concerns. Among the key issues raised were demands for construction and repair of lanes and drains in Arjun Vihar Bandhu Rakh, Ward 68 Greater Kailash, and Sainik Colony D-Block; completion of pending development works in Ward 55 Kunjwani; repair of drains, gratings, and central drain in Sector-2 Gangyal; and upgradation of roads in Hira Nagar under PMGSY. Other deputations highlighted problems such as unscheduled power cuts in KC Colony Trikuta Nagar and Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, the need for repair and installation of street lights in Adarsh Enclave and Greater Kailash, construction of deep drains in Shastri Nagar, and provision of dustbins near Har Ki Poudi Mandir in Gautam Nagar.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Narinder Singh emphasized the crucial role of the J&K government in ensuring timely resolution of public grievances. He said that the people’s issues are the foundation of governance. He said that it is imperative that the government lays greater emphasis on addressing the real and immediate needs of the public, be it basic amenities, infrastructure, or service delivery. Development is meaningful only when it directly benefits the people at the grassroots, he said, assuring the deputations that their concerns would be strongly taken up with the concerned departments for speedy action.
Dr. Rajeev Bhagat reiterated the BJP’s commitment to being the voice of the people. “We are here to listen, to understand, and to act. Every genuine grievance raised today will be pursued until resolved. Our focus is on bringing visible change in people’s lives through prompt redressal and continuous follow-up,” he said.
The Public Darbar was coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-Incharge, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, J&K BJP, who emphasized on the direct interaction between public representatives and the people.
