Kargil,July 10 (Scoop News)-In a significant development for the region, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a modern Finance Complex at Kurbathang, Kargil.
The ceremony was attended by prominent officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, Councillor Abdul Wahid, Chief Controller Finance, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer R&B, and other senior officers.
According to the project details, the estimated cost of the Finance Complex is approximately ₹1313.92 lakhs, funded under the Special Development Plan (SDP) component. The concerned officer informed the CEC that the tender has already been allocated to the agency, and construction work is expected to commence soon.
The Finance Complex will be equipped with modern facilities, ensuring a conducive working environment for officials. CEC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, emphasized the importance of using high-quality materials and directed the concerned authorities to ensure that the project's quality is not compromised.
Stressing the need for timely completion, the CEC directed the executing agency to adhere to the project timeline and complete the construction without delays. "It is essential to complete the project on time, ensuring that the facility is available to the officials without any further delay," he added.
The construction of the Finance Complex is a significant step towards enhancing the infrastructure and administrative capabilities of LAHDC Kargil. The project is expected to provide a modern and efficient workspace for officials, contributing to the overall development of the region.
