Jammu,June 24 (Scoop News)-In a landmark announcement that promises to transform the socio-economic landscape of Jammu & Kashmir, the Government of India has approved developmental projects worth ₹10,637 crore for the Union Territory. These projects are being hailed as game-changers, with particular significance placed on the long-awaited Peer Ki Gali
Tunnel and Sadna Tunnel, which will provide all-weather connectivity and fulfill decades-old public demands.
Shri Mushtaq Inqlabi, National Secretary of BJP ST Morcha, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Union Minister for Roads and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji for this visionary step. Speaking on the occasion, Inqlabi said, "These projects will not only enhance connectivity but also open up new avenues for tourism, economic development, and social integration. This is indeed a golden era under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
He emphasized that the Peer Ki Gali Tunnel on the historic Mughal Road, connecting Rajouri-Poonch with the Kashmir Valley, and the Sadna Tunnel on the Kupwara-Karnah route, have been long-pending demands of the people. With today’s approval, dreams harbored for generations are finally becoming a reality.
Shri Inqlabi extended a special note of thanks to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, who played a pivotal role in recommending and pushing these strategic projects for approval. He also acknowledged the commitment of BJP’s leadership in the Union Territory and the Centre for giving precedence to the genuine aspirations of the people above political lines.
"On behalf of the people of Rajouri and Poonch, I express deep gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji for approving the long-awaited Peer Ki Gali Tunnel project," Inqlabi said.
He further thanked BJP J&K State President Shri Sat Sharma (CA), Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, State Gen Secretary Sh Vibodh Gupta ji and other Senior leadership of BJP who worked tirelessly to ensure true representation of public issues.
