Govt departments celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zeal
Div Com hoists Tricolour in Office premises; extends greeting to people


Jammu, August 15 (Scoop News)-Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, today hoisted Tricolour in the premises of Divisional Commissioner office to mark the celebration of 76th Independence Day.
The Div Com also extended Independence Day greetings and also highlighted the importance of the day.
Additional Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Deputy Director Planning other officers and officials of the Office participated.
Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) celebrated the 76th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and zeal.
Joint Director Information Jammu, Sapna Kotwal hoisted the National Flag im the office premises in presence of all officers and officials of the department followed by singing of National Anthem by all the officers and officials.
Deputy Director Information (HQ), Dr. Rahana Akhtar Bijli, Deputy Director Information (PR), Dr. Vikas Sharma, Cultural Officer, Parul Khajuria, Field Publicity Officer, Mukesh Kumar, Information Officer, Ashu Thapa, besides other officials were also present on the occasion.
Directorate of Health Services Jammu celebrated 76th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour. The day was celebrated under the aegis Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with special emphasis on the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign launched by Government of India with the aim to invoke the feeling of patriotism among the citizens by building a personal connection with the National Flag.
Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman hoisted the National Flag in the presence of all officers and officials of the Directorate.
This was followed by singing of the National Anthem by all the officers and officials of the Directorate. On the occasion, DHS Jammu recalled the historic courage and efforts of those freedom fighters who dreamt of a flag for free India. He congratulated/ applauded the staff for participating with all hearts in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by hoisting the National Flag along with their families in their homes from 13th to 15th August.
Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu celebrated 76th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour, zeal and enthusiasm under the aegis of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and to mark ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Director Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, Krishan Lal accompanied by all staff members, hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. He urged the participants to realize, understand and cherish the coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation. He extended his warm greetings to all the staff members on the occasion.
Employees Provident Fund Organization, Regional Office, Jammu celebrated 76th Independence Day of India at Employees Provident Fund Organization, Regional Office, Jammu together with officers and staff of J & K EPFO.
The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Regional P. F. Commissioner, Rizwan Uddin followed the National Anthem. Regional Commissioner addressed the officers and staff and felicitated them for their exceptional work. Nimisha Anand, Additional P F Commissioner, J&K EPFO also addressed the gatherings.
Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was successfully conducted by EPFO, Jammu.
Floriculture Department: Babu Ram, Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Department and Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak hoisted the tricolor at the Horticulture complex, Talab Tillo Jammu to mark the celebration of 76th Independence Day.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Horticulture said that the country has completed 75 years of Independence and it has been celebrated with a campaign of “Har Ghar Tiranga” under the aegis of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. He also encouraged the horticulture fraternity to work with zeal and enthusiasm for the welfare of the farming community.
