| NYK Kargil conducts Swachhta Pakhwada | |
Kargil, August 15 (Scoop News)- Nehru Yuva Kendra Kargil Ladakh, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India conducted the Swachhta Pakhwada program (cleanliness fortnight) from August 01 to 15.
Under this program, various activities have been performed like pledge taking on Swachhta, cleanliness drive, awareness and knowledge competition.
National Youth Volunteers, the volunteers of NYK, conducted a cleanliness drive in their respective blocks for two weeks.
On August 10, NYK organized a painting competition and awareness program on Swachhta at Higher Secondary School, Shargole. The vice principal appreciated for such an initiative.
On August 13, NYK organized a cleanliness drive at Sanko market, lying in Sankoo Block, in collaboration with Sankoo campus GDC Kargil. On the same day, it also conducted a quiz competition at HS Tacha, located in Lotsum block.
On August 14, we initiated the Swachhta awareness and cleanliness drive at Sodh block in collaboration with Passgo Voluntary Welfare Association Apatee.
