DOM, a wing of Confederation, pledges to save the Constitution on Constitution Day

Jammu, November 27 (Scoop News)- Dalit OBC Minority (DOM), a wing of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations, organised a function to commemorate and celebrate the Constitution Day on 26th Nov 2021 at Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu. Constitutional Day is a historical day in the Indian democracy as on this day i.e. 26th Nov 1949, Indian constitution was adopted.
In order to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, DOM celebrated Constitution Day.

R.K.Kalsotra, State President DOM- Confederation, while addressing at this occasion said, "It's not only the time to commerate the struggle and sacrifices of the Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, but also to rise and safeguard it from being destroyed by some evil forces, as an attempt is being made to replace the constitution and thus, we won't allow them to succeed in their evil designs. Time has come when we all have to stand to protect our constitution and future".

Kalsotra gave a detailed account as how depressed classes were subjected to brutalities in absence of constitution and democracy. He appealed the general masses to unite together to restore rights of SCs, STs, OBCs and Minorities.

Two resolutions were tabled by Kalsotra which were passed unanimously by the members present. These were — to celebrate Mahaparinirvana Diwas on 6th December, 2021 at the block, panchayat, tehsil level by the members and to come forth for an organised rally to protect the constitution from dilution under the theme — Save Constitution, Save Rights, Save India.

"Constitution of India, guarantees us equality in all fields and it's our duty to protect it else will would be pushed back to the unending darkness of social injustice", said Mir Shahid Sleem.

A large gathering attended the function and people from all walks of life who delivered speeches and presented their valuable view points include Er H. R. Phonsa-who spoke on the historical background of the subject, Advocate Ayaz Mughal - who gave a technical know how about constitution day and appealed the youth to come forward to save the constitution, Rtd. SSP Sarwar Chohan, Advocate Tania Bhardwaj, Prof. Surinder Singh Wazir-delibrated details about significance of this day, Tanveer Hussain, Advocate Anil Boudh, Jaat leader Choudhary Kamal Singh, Vijay Kumar, Amersh Jasrotia appealed people in general and youth in particular to come forward to safeguard constitution. Advocates Susheel, Jatinder Singh Lucky, Raj Kumar Meenia, Sardar Kulwant Singh, Capt.rtd.Rashpal Chand, ex Sarpanch Gopal Dass from Khour Hamirlur, Mushtaq Ahmed Qadri from Poonchh, Ashok Kumar from R S Pura were also addressed.

S Narinder Singh Khalsa said we need to be aware and make other aware about their constitutional rights and make the appropriate use of baited during election so that right people could represent us,

Dr A C Bhagat delivered vote of thanks and gave a brief account of Constitution of Jammu and kashmir and also spoke as to how the plight of depressed classes was patronized by the erstwhile constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.
