| Sub-division Nubra celebrates Iconic Week | |
Leh, October 27 (Scoop News)-Sub-Division Nubra celebrated the ‘Iconic Week’ with full fervour today at Mini Stadium, Diskit, Nubra as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration. Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchok was the chief guest for the occasion.
As directed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Lakshay Singhal, several stalls were installed by different departments highlighting their work. It included stalls on handicraft and handloom products, agriculture and forest products and awareness campaigns on the resident certificate, Jal Jeevan Mission, health, schemes of banks such as State Bank and Jammu and Kashmir Bank among others.
Students from different schools and women groups from several villages exhibited cultural performances at the event.
Speaking at the occasion, SDM Nubra directed the officers and officials of different sub-divisional departments to work with dedication and sincerity.
Councillor Tiger and Hunder constituency; Chairpersons of Block Development Council Diskit, Panamik and Turtuk; Officer Commanding, 102 Infantry Brigade; Sapranches and Nambarders of various villages were also present during the occasion.
