Jammu,November26 (Scoop News)- Priya Sethi, Senior BJP leader,Former Minister and Member of the National Executive, emphasized the enduring significance of India's Constitution in safeguarding citizens' rights and fostering national unity.
She was addressing a gathering as the Main Speaker during a programme organized by BJP Jammu District President Pramod Kapahi to commemorate Constitution Day.

The former minister underscored the Modi Government's commitment to celebrating Constitution Day with renewed vigor every year. "Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Constitution Day has gained prominence as a national celebration aimed at deepening the people's understanding of constitutional values and their importance in strengthening democracy," she said.
Reflecting on the transformative decision to abrogate Article 370, Priya Sethi highlighted how it ensured the implementation of constitutional safeguards and rights for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “For decades, residents of J&K especially the women were deprived of the benefits guaranteed to other citizens under various Articles of the Constitution. The abrogation has brought equality, development, and justice to the region, aligning J&K with the rest of the country,” she asserted.
Priya Sethi further commended the framers of the Constitution for laying a strong foundation for a progressive India. "The Constitution, with its comprehensive Articles, embodies the spirit of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, ensuring that every citizen feels empowered and protected," she added.
Priya Sethi urged citizens to actively participate in the democratic process and stay vigilant about their rights and responsibilities, emphasizing that the Constitution is a living document that unites the diverse fabric of the nation.
MLA Yudhvir Sethi highlighted the unparalleled vision of the framers of the Constitution in shaping a unified and inclusive India. He noted that the Constitution not only provides a framework for governance but also serves as a beacon of hope and empowerment for marginalized sections of society.
Sethi encouraged the youth to study the Constitution and contribute actively to nation-building, stressing that their awareness and participation are crucial for sustaining India's democratic values.
Parmodh Kapahi, District President BJP East, in his address, highlighted the role of the Constitution in empowering every section of society. He stated, "The abrogation of Article 370 has been a landmark step in ensuring that the rights enshrined in the Constitution reach every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir. It has paved the way for unprecedented development, equality, and justice in the region."
Kapahi also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reinstating the true spirit of constitutional democracy and urged party members to actively spread awareness about constitutional values among the masses.
