KPSS suspends hunger strike as President’s health deteriorates

Srinagar, December 03 (Scoop News)-Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS) today suspended its fast-unto-death after the health condition of its President Sanjay K. Tickoo deteriorated.
KPSS in a statement said that on December 2, health conditions of Sanjay K. Tickoo turned critical after which he had to rush to a doctor and then to a hospital.
“Due to continuous fasting the health condition of KPSS President became critical reason to which the morale of the entire team went down,” KPSS said.
KPSS said that on the continuous persuasion from youth activists of the Community Sanjay K. Tickoo, President, KPSS had to suspend Fast-Unto-Death till some time.
It said that at the same time it was resolved in coming days community meetings will be held at different places in Valley “to chalk out some extreme steps against UT Administration and BJP Cadres in Jammu and Kashmir for step-motherly treatment against Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits / Kashmiri Hindus living in Kashmir Valley.”
KPSS said that it does not want to lose its President due to fasting, “because UT Government is not sensitive to the miseries of Non-Migrant Kashmiri Pandits / Kashmiri Hindus living in Kashmir Valley, “it said.
