Corona pandemic right time to revisit Ayurveda, boost immunity: Kavinder

Jammu, September 20 (Scoop News)-The adversity which the corona pandemic has brought along has given us the strong reason to go back to our roots and revisit Ayurveda to boost immunity and fortify ourselves against such contagions.This was stated by former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta while distributing Tulsi saplings among the locals at Amphalla under Sewa Saptah Programme, which is being organized in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday from September 14 to 20, 2020.
“Ayurveda is not only about curing a disease rather it helps in prevention and that too with a holistic lifestyle. There is no need to have big qualifications or number of degrees to practice Ayurveda. We can have practicable knowledge from easily available books and nowadays from internet also to get basic knowledge. In the case of coronavirus, Giloy, Tulsi and Ashwagandha possessed the potential to combat COVID-19. All these are household plants and can prove to be life saving drugs like that of Sanjeevni Booti”, averred the senior BJP functionary while telling people about significance of going back to their roots to overcome diseases and viruses.
Dr. Kapil Batra, HoD Naturaltherapy Hospital Ambphalla organized the programme observing strictly all COVID-19 guidelines issued by District Administration.BJP stalwart Kavinder Gupta, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, told the gathering that Indians are fortunate enough to have such a rich heritage comprising complete range of knowledge of all herbs and plants besides way of life in the form of Ayurveda and not availing proper benefit of the same counts for nothing but simple ignorance. He asked everybody irrespective of age, caste, creed and gender to take refuge under Ayurveda and ensure a healthy and prolonged life span. “Tulsi plants have anti-septic properties and are best remedy for cough and cold and are also used for sinus pain, hay fever and headache,” Kavinder added.
Padamshree Dr. Ved Ghai, Chairperson Naturaltherapy Hospital, Priya Bharat Ghai, President Naturaltherapy Hospital were the guests of honour.Dr. Kapil Batra HOD Naturalthrapy Hospital and Dr. Sonia Batra along with staff members of hospital were also present.Tulsi saplings were also planted during the programme by Kavinder Gupta along with other guests. Shiv Paul Singh Chib, Social and RTI Activist presided over the function. Ward president Satbir Singh, Sandeep Gupta district executive member, Rachit Khola Mandal Secretary, Vishal Gupta, Rajesh Verma Senior leader were also present.
