DC Kargil chairs DCC, DLRC meeting
Stresses on collaborative efforts by banks, line departments for awareness about credit linked schemes
Kargil (Ladakh), September 19(Scoop News)-Deputy Commissioner/ District Magistrate and CEO, LAHDC Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary today chaired the meeting of the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the quarter ending June, 2020.
The DC reviewed the performance of banks under Annual Credit Plan and performance of banks under different Government sponsored loan schemes.
District Lead Bank Manager Sarwan Kumar, representatives of different banks and the departmental heads of the line departments including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, DIC, KVIB, Social Welfare, Municipal Committee, Handloom, Handicrafts and other line departments attended the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of cases under PMEGP, KVIB, KVIC, DIC, NULM, NRLM, PMAWY, Mudra Loan, DEDS, KCC, Handloom, Handicraft and other sectors.
Thorough discussions and deliberations were held with regard to the current position of deposits, advances, CD Ratio and advances under credit linked schemes.
The District Lead Bank Manager, Kargil informed the meeting that up to quarter ending June, 2020 banks operating in the district have disbursed total credit of Rs 44.22 crores under Priority and Non Priority Sectors against Annual Credit Plan Target (ACP) of Rs 415.76 crores thereby achieving 11% of the target.
Meanwhile, the Potential Link District Credit Plan for the year 2020-2021 prepared by NABARD was also approved by the DC Kargil, in which projection of Rs 295.70 crores of Potential Link Credit Plan (PLP) has been projected for the year 2020-2021 for the district.
Sector wise PLP projection include Rs 117.85 crores under Agriculture sector, Rs 115.59 crores under MSME , Rs 3.94 crores under Education, 23.59 crores under Housing , Rs 0.78 crores under Renewal Energy and Rs 3.99 crores under the Social Infrastructure sector.
Baseer instructed all bankers to clear the pendency of various Government sponsored schemes and annual credit plan of the district within 15 days of the current QTR of Financial Year 2020-2021.
The DC called for comprehensive and timely accomplishment of targets earmarked for the financial year 2020-201 thereby paving way to provide more economic development opportunities to the beneficiaries.
He also emphasized for proper implementation of government sponsored schemes to increase the credit-deposit ratio of the financial institutions further directing the bankers to intensify their efforts to increase CD ratio.
Stressing on collaborative efforts by the banks especially the private sector banks and line departments in holding awareness camps on regular basis in the remote and far off areas of the district, the DC said that this will go a long way in creating necessary awareness among the people especially the unemployed youth about PMEGP, NRLM, NULM, New Employment Generation Programme, Social Security Schemes PMJDY, PMJJBSY, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and other credit linked schemes.
