Srinagar, September 19 (Scoop News)-Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Awantipora police alongwith the local people of the area destroyed wild bung on banks of river Jehlum in Resipora Awantipora.
Awantipora Police alongwith the local people of the area destroyed huge quantity of naturally grown weed bung on the banks of river Jhelum in Resipora area of Awantipora.
General public of these areas have appreciated the action of Awantipora police and have urged to continue such drive in nearby areas also.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
