“NEP 2020” a boon for educational system: Ravinder Raina
BJP holds Webinar on NEP-2020

Jammu, September 19 (Scoop News)-BJP J&K organized a Webinar on National Educational Police (NEP-2020) to aware people about its benefits and how it will further brighten the future of youth of J&K.
Party UT, President, Ravinder Raina, BJP General Secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul, Former Education Minister, Convenor NEP Priya Sethi, co convener Inderjeet Samyal, District Presidents of J&K, Mandal Conveners and Co-conveners participated in the webinar.
Ravinder Raina, while speaking during the Webinar, said that the NEP-2020 will bring transformational reforms in school and higher education system in J&K besides bringing societal development with integration of traditional values of the nation.
“NEP-2020 is built on the foundational pillars of access, equity, quality, affordability and accountability and is aligned to the agenda for sustainable development that shall change J&K into a vibrant knowledge society, Raina said. NEP will be set up as a single overarching umbrella body for higher education, Raina told.
Ashok Koul termed the NEP-2020 as a major initiative to deal with the new challenges of the 21st century. “Participation in educational administration area is a commendable element in the new policy,” he said and added that the NEP-2020 aims at making J&K a global knowledge hub with particular focus on basic literacy and basic numeracy and will further strengthen the basic academic system in the country.
Ashok Koul laid stress upon all the District Presidents, Mandal Conveners and Co-conveners to work tirelessly for maximum participation of children and youth in the MyNEP Competition.
Priya Sethi said that the NEP-2020 focuses on vocational studies at school level, where every child will be provided opportunities to learn at least one vocational course, which will prepare them to identify life skills. “By the year 2025, at least 50% learners at schools and higher education institutions will have exposure to vocational education,” she said.
Priya Sethi said, “This prime focus will be of great benefit to the students of J&K wherein seasonal schools are still functional besides the children belonging to Gujjar and Bakerwal community will be equally educated.” According to the NEP-2020 their shall be ‘mother tongue’ as the medium of instruction up to class 5th. Students till Class 5 in schools would be taught in mother tongue, regional and local language, Sethi said and added that this will boost the morale of the children of J&K.
Pertinent, Vidya Bharti is going to hold a Competition on NEP-2020; “MyNEP Competition” wherein participants from across the J&K UT are wholeheartedly invited to participate.
Aspiring candidates are invited to take part in MyNEP Competition for various classes in different categories including from class 9th to 12, the competition would be; Two minute speech, Handmade Poster, Letter to PM, 300 Word Essay and Meme Making. For Undergraduate and above candidate, participates would have to make. Short Film (2.20Min), Digital Poster Making, Painting/Handmade Poster, Minimum eight tweet threat and Meme Making, and for Citizens which is open for all would include Short Film of about 2.20 minutes of duration, Digital Poster Making, Painting/Handmade Poster, Minimum eight tweet threat and Meme Making.
For winners of the MyNEP competition, many exciting prices including cash prices will be given, while in Citizens category they would be awarded with language win prizes and a participation certificate. Registrations for the MyNEP Competition are open till October 2, for which participants will have to register themselves to enter in MyNEP contest.
