Nation Stands United And Determined To Fight Against COVID—19:A Global Pandemic: Prof Kaul
Jammu, March 27 (Scoop News)- Prof P.L. Kaul prominent BJP Activist and an Eminent Educationist has expressed his gratitude and satisfaction on the measures taken by the Administration to fight against deadly virus COVID-19 . He said Prime Minister Narendra Modis’ call for Janta Curfew on 22nd march was an unbelievable success with an overwhelming response which has generated a new hope for the Nation in its fight against global crisis of Corona virus. It was a great feeling to hear the bells and sound of togetherness, a sign of gratitude shown to the doctors, health workers and other servicing staff, true heroes of the nation who are on the front line of battle against the Corona virus.
With the Corona virus declared by the WHO as a global Pandemic, the entire country and the world are taking whatever preventive measures they can to contain the disease viz, hand washing ,wearing masks ,schools, colleges, universities closed, cities being locked down, visas being cancelled , air port screening , quarantine, containment, hospitalisation and treatment and now railways, road, and air flights being cancelled. Since there is no vaccine and treatment available as yet, entire world seems to unequivocally agree that the virus has to be contained and eliminated. PROF kaul opined that our lesions from the viral infection has always been and will always remain the same i.e to move from fear to love ,from taking to giving , from hoarding to distribution and sharing and towards humanity and oneness. When we realise this, and we stop feeling scared, spreading panic and start becoming stronger and trusting ourselves and divine nature, our vibrations and positivity will rise to a higher level and the threat from the virus will recede. We have to wholeheartedly rise above the occasion and focus on our determinations to contain and beat the virus by strictly following the guidelines and adversaries from time to time from the GOVT. and medical fraternity
Prof Kaul said Our country is at 2nd stage of this pandemic disease and we have to try that it does not enter the 3rd stage. Watch your symptoms viz, fever, cough, and shortness of breath, appearing within 2-14 days. after exposure. Spreads mainly from person to person and between people in close contact through droplet infection when infected person coughs or sneezes. Prevention is better than cure and to maintain strictly personal hygiene. . He further urged not to hide the travel histories and do not skip screening at air port and railway stations. People reaching from outside state and from abroad are hiding their travel histories in a bid to evade the quartine which the administration has made mandatory for people coming from abroad. Now it is a challenging job and needs collective efforts to locate those who have already entered and would be a source of threat to others. Register FIR against persons concealing travel history. To prevent spread of corona virus pandemic and to break down transmission chain of virus , it is necessary to enforce Social Distancing i.e prevent /minimise close contact between people which is the need of the hour. In this direction Prime Minister Modiji addressed the Nation which was his 2nd COVID.address on 24th and announced Complete Lockdown of the entire nation for 21 days up to 14 th April. He emphasised not to step out of your home except in emergency and for procuring essential commodities. Self distancing is the only practical solution to protect yourself, your family, and the community from the viral infection, which will die its own death in due course of time.Modij is a ray of hope in the lives of a billion Indians. We are determined to win this 21 days war against this deadly virus.
.
Prof Kaul while making a fervent appeal to the public said that people should not panic and must avoid hoarding of food articles and to ensure that everyone gets its due requirement. He further urged to sustain and maintain the regular supply chain of essential foods along with price monitoring during shut down and also to ensure un-necessary hoarding of masks and sensitizers .Prof. kaul said that JMC may devise mechanism of ward wise registered rehari vendors of vegetables /fruits or any other method to avoid huge gathering and rush at the mundi / shop.JMC is undertaking extensive fumigation and disinfection drive which is laudable efforts and also chalk out areas wise plan of different wards of localities. WE all should come together and join hands with JMC in maintaining proper sanitation to fight corona. While appreciating the dedicated work of doctors, health workers, ProfKaul said the society is indebted to them. We salute their superb dedication and the GOVT.has to ensure that they do not fall prey to COVID-19, while discharging their duties against this dreaded viral infection. He urged the authorities to streamline and reinforce the supply chain of high levels protective gears, PPE, N-95 masks for doctors and health workers for their protection against the viral infection, besides need to scale up a wide net work of testing facilities and required number of equipments like Ventilators and the need for up grading the health facilities in the UT of J&.k on war footing to deal with the challenges. It is gratifying to know that state Govt has released additional funds to the tune of Rs.40 crore to fight spread of corona infection. . Since International supplies could not be possible, it is urged to have domestic manufacturing of medical devices by the central Govt to augment the supply said Prof.Kaul .P .M.Narendra Modi has announced Rs15000 crore package for up gradation of health services to fight corona and we all are grateful to him for this act of boldness.
Prof.Kaul said spread positivity to fight corona and be a part of voluntary group to reach at the elders, those with disabilities and other vulnerable ones to help them get access to daily essentials and medicines. Build positive connections in the society to tide over these stressful times. I would be one willingly offer my services, for this noble cause. To strengthen the Surveillance and monitoring activities to follow up quarantine persons coming from abroad needs collective efforts to make it effective and we have to lend support to the efforts of the Govt in this direction. Crowded jails are becoming most vulnerable in the spread of virus among inmates which is a matter of grave concern. Supreme Court has directed all the states and the centre to decongest the prisons in the wake of corona virus pandemic. To avail information, assistance and advice regarding COVID-19, NHMEA in rare gesture has come forward to establish help line services at all district H.Q and were released by mayor JMC
Beware of fake news and rumours going viral faster than COVID-19 and this is worrying part, said Prof. Kaul. Such media can create panic which is unwarranted and should be discouraged. Govt needs to emphasise the people the importance of relying on trusted sources of information regarding COVID-19. He urged the Govt that it is right time to consider the use of 4. G. Internet services in view of present COVID-19 pandemic, as it will help to cope up with an unprecedented situation-
Continuous lock down for 21 days, self quarantine, home stay and strictly following guide lines from time to time is the practical solution in reducing the spread of viral infection. Hence our priority would be to extend full cooperation and support to the government in every genuine effort to deal with the present crisis, he added.
