| Eight passengers injured in a road accident near Changla top | | injured shifted and admitted in SNM hospital treatment |
Leh(Ladakh), June 19, (Scoop News)-At least eight passengers were injured, one of them seriously, when the vehicle they were travelling in met an accident at Diesel Morh near Changla top, the eyewitnesses said.
The injured had been shifted to Sonam Narboo Memorial Hospital (SNMH) for treatment, they added.
Meanwhile, police has filed an FIR No 62/ 19 under sections 279 and 337 Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) at Police Station- Leh.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle carrying over a dozen of passengers was on its way to Chushul from Kharu when it met with an accident near Changla top on Tuesday afternoon.
A team of doctors and paramedics in a fully equipped ambulance was rushed to the spot soon after the administration of SNMH was informed about the incident, they said.
“With the help of locals and police, the injured persons were shifted to the hospital for treatment,” the eyewitnesses said.
Later on the deputy chairman, Gyal P Wangyal, of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) visited the hospital and enquired about the health condition of the injured patients and directed the doctors and others to ensure best possible treatment and care for their swift recovery.
Dr Tsering Samphel briefed Wangyal about the condition of all injured patients including the one seriously injured female patient.
