| Bike rally was organised to promote tourism & Swachta in Gurez | |  Srinagar,June 16 (Scoop News)-A bike rally was organised today by Legend Rider Club and Dawar Battalion of Snow Leopard Brigade to promote Tourism and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Gurez Valley. The rally aims at spreading awareness amongst locals and tourists to ensure cleanliness in the beautiful valley of Gurez. The rally was ‘flagged off‘ by Commander, Snow Leopard Brigade at Dawar. In his address the Commander highlighted importance of adventure in life and also urged to use safety gears while undertaking such activities.
The bike rally team comprises of 17 bikes with 40 civilians from different walks of life. The rally will traverse through Wampora, Kanzalwan, Koragbal and Razdan Pass before reaching back to Bandipora. The rally was seen off by young students, locals and civil administration of Gurez. A interactive session of the rally members and locals was also organised over tea.
During its journey through Gurez valley, the team will interact with civilians and tourists to spread awareness and highlight importance of Swachhta. Children and locals cheered the Bike Rally team during ‘flag off‘ ceremony by waving the national flag. The locals and bike rally team thanked Indian Army for organsing the event.
